The NPL is committed to upholding the laws of the game of cricket and its lofty spirit to promote the development of cricket at the grass roots across India. The selection process for the NPL  is simple, friendly and meticulous in order to give equal and fair opportunity to all aspirants at the trial camps which are held across the country.

SPFI Selectors at Trial Camps

The trials are held in presence of expert coaches and eminent selectors with rich experience of playing, selecting, talent-spotting and coaching young players. The Sports Promotion Federation of India appoints a distinguished panel of selectors for all the trial camp venues. The NPL provides pink balls for the conduct of the trials and free kitting to all the participants. All those registered aspirants are required to bring along their own personalised bat/pads/gloves, etc, so that they can perform comfortably and to the best of their abilities.

Selection Criteria

The selection process itself will be a great learning process for budding cricketers. Selected players will be meticulously mentored by cricket icons to excel for their respective state teams. Around 240 players will be given the opportunity to represent 16 States/teams in the NPL . Selection shall be purely and solely based on merit and performance.

Mentoring for the Trials

We believe that everyone is talented and deserve a fair chance to prove themselves. At the NPL  trial camps, we deploy the expertise of mentors, cricket icons, motivators, nutritionist, coaches to motivate and inspire the young aspirants so that they are in the best frame of mind and relaxed before the trials.
